Dr. Marie Walker, born in New
Richmond Wisconsin attended
the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire where she received an undergraduate
B.S. degree in biochemistry
and molecular biology in 1996. She graduated Summa
Cum Laude.
She attended
medical school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison obtaining
her Medical Degree (M.D.) in 2001. She subsequently completed
her medical internship at
Gundersen
Lutheran
Hospital
in LaCrosse, Wisconsin in 2002 followed by a residency in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo
Medical Center in Rochester,
Minnesota from July 2002 to June 2005.
During
her residency, Dr.
Walker
served as the staff
physician for
the Junior
college National Wrestling Championship
in
2004
Dr.
Walker received several
awards and honors
during her
under graduate and post graduate education.
Throughout
her training Dr. Walker has been actively involved in teaching.
Dr Walker is board certified in Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr.
Marie Walker specializes in the
non surgical management of disorders of the spine. She is
also proficient in the performance of Electromyography (EMG) and
Nerve Conduction Velocity (NCV) studies
When she is not
practicing Physical Medicine or performing EMG and NCV studies, Dr.
Walker enjoys volleyball,
tennis,
camping,
and backpacking.
